Houston Beekeepers Association Field Day!

Come out to my apiary in Baytown and get hands-on learning with my bees. We will go over doing alcohol washes for varroa mites. Oxalic acid treatment methods (dribble and vaporization) and making sure bees are ready for winter. We will meet at the southwest corner of the Walmart parking lot at the far end of the parking lot in front of the garden center. Walmart is located at the intersection of I10 and Hwy 146 (8700 N Hwy 146, Baytown, TX 77523). I will be in a white F-350 crew cab long bed with a Thrive Apiaries sticker on the back window. You will need to bring your protective gear, and I would recommend bringing a folding chair. Shade and cold water will be provided. There are no facilities at the apiary (no bathroom).
